Jump of the Mermaid

Ariel is a fictional character and the central figure in Walt Disney Pictures' 28th animated film, The Little Mermaid (1989). She is also featured in the movie's prequel TV series (1992–1994), the direct-to-video sequel, The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea (2000), and the direct-to-video prequel, The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning (2008). Jodi Benson lends her voice to Ariel across all official animated appearances and merchandise. Ariel stands out as the fourth in the Disney Princess lineup, being the first nonhuman princess and the only one to become a mother.
