Reach for the Stars

In the game Shoot the Stars, players control a ship that can be navigated along the screen's bottom and a few rows upward. Shooting is done by clicking the left mouse button. Players have three chances to succeed, and if they fail, pressing any button will restart the game.

Once gameplay begins, an alien appears at the top of the screen and starts moving downward. Each time it collides with a star, it reverses direction and continues its descent. Hitting any segment of the alien turns that segment into a star. If any segment reaches the screen's bottom, it bounces back and ascends. Contact with the alien results in losing a life.
